Lincoln, CA, October 14, 2015– On Saturday, September 19th, 30 students from Glen Edwards Middle School (GEMS) participated in a creek clean up at Auburn Ravine. Partnered with the Wildlife Heritage Foundation, GEMS students spent three hours from 9am to 12pm volunteering their time to clean up Auburn Ravine.

Native Sons of the Golden West Donate Tenth Plaque in Ten Years

Lincoln, CA, September 11, 2015– The Native Sons of the Golden West placed ten monumental plaques around Lincoln over the past ten years. A wonderful asset to our town, The Native Sons of the Golden West replaced a plaque at the original entrance to Lincoln High School on Thursday, September 9th, 2015. The original plaque was dedicated on September 9th, 2007 for the 100th birthday of Lincoln High School, but was unfortunately stolen in 2013 and was sold for the bronze as scrap metal.

Lincoln, CA, September 1, 2015–Thunder Valley Casino Resort made itself a scholastic supporter, once again, by starting their process of donating over 1.2 million sheets of paper to schools in the area. 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, at the old Western Placer District Office (600 Sixth Street, Suite 400), in the parking lot of Pheonix and Lincoln high schools, marked the first round of donations. The amount of paper that was delivered to the Western Placer Unified School DIstrict was over 800 reams.
