CAN I STILL REGISTER?

Yes!

We ARE still accepting registration for the 2020-2021 school year. While schools are currently closed, we do not have reason to believe the 2020-2021 school year will be impacted by current state of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

WHAT DO I DO?

Please follow the steps below to register your child. Please take note of the adjustments made for turning in documents to your school site.

WHO DO I CONTACT?

If you have questions about registration, the school sites are answering phones every Thursday beginning April 16, 2020 from 9AM - 3PM. They will be able to assist you.
You may also use the email contact list associated with your child's school site (located below) to send an email at any time.

Children who turn five (5) on or before September 1, 2020 are eligible for Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year.  Our Kindergarten program is offered at all of our elementary schools. Beginning fall of 2020, the Kindergarten program will be lengthened to extended-day classes - starting at 8:00am and finishing at 1:40pm.

Parents may request their child participates in the Dual Language Program. This selection can be made in the Online Registration Application. Those who have turned in their complete registration packet by the due date (2/12/2020) will be placed in the selection pool and chosen based on a lottery (not first come, first serve). Any registration packet turned in after the due date will be placed on a space available wait list. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee requested placement.  For more information regarding specific requests, please contact your child’s home school upon completion of registration.

Please read the information and follow all four (4) steps below to register your child for Kindergarten.  FOR 2020-2021 REGISTRATION: All completed registration forms, along with supporting documents, may be SCANNED & EMAILED to your child’s home school (confirm child's home school here). Please see the school contact list below to email your documents to the school office. These changes reflect the measures taken to maintain the state-wide shelter in place order.

If you would like more information about our Kindergarten program, please contact Scott Pickett at (916) 645-6350 or email spickett@wpusd.org.
