CAN I STILL REGISTER?

Yes!

We ARE still accepting registration for the 2020-2021 school year. While schools are currently closed, we do not have reason to believe the 2020-2021 school year will be impacted by current state of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

WHAT DO I DO?

Please follow the steps below to register your child. Please take note of the adjustments made for turning in documents to your school site.

WHO DO I CONTACT?

If you have questions about registration, the school sites are answering phones every Thursday beginning April 16, 2020 from 9AM - 3PM. They will be able to assist you.
You may also use the email contact list associated with your child's school site (located below) to send an email at any time.

Transitional Kindergarten Top of Page

Changes as of January 2020:

Children who turn five (5) on or between September 2, 2020 and January 31, 2021 are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program. Unfortunately, due to state funding, we can no longer serve students who turn five (5) after January 31, 2021. The TK program offers AM (8:00am - 11:20am) and PM (11:21am - 2:40pm | early release: 10:21am - 1:40pm) class options.

Sites offering TK will be determined based on total enrollment numbers.

Parent requests for a specific site and time will be considered; however, if a student's home school offers TK, they will receive priority when enrolling. Please note, ALL eligible TK children will have a place for enrollment.

Please read the information and follow the directions/steps below to register your child for TK.  FOR 2020-2021 REGISTRATION: All completed registration forms, along with supporting documents, may be SCANNED AND EMAILED TO your child’s home school (confirm child's home school here). Please see the school contact list below to email your documents to the school office. These changes reflect the measures taken to maintain the state-wide shelter in place order.

If you would like more information about our Transitional Kindergarten program, please contact Scott Pickett at (916) 645-6350 or email spickett@wpusd.org.
