Children who turn five (5) on or before September 1, 2021 are eligible for Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year.  Our Kindergarten program is offered at all of our elementary schools and operates as an extended-day program - starting at approximately 8:00am and finishing at 1:40pm.

Parents may request their child participates in the Bilingual Immersion Program. This selection can be made in the Online Registration Application. Those who have turned in their complete registration packet by the due date (2/19/2021) will be placed in the selection pool and chosen based on a lottery (not first come, first serve). Any registration packet turned in after the due date will be placed on a space available wait list. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee requested placement.  For more information regarding specific requests, please contact your child’s home school upon completion of registration.

Please read the information and follow all four (4) steps below to register your child for Kindergarten.  FOR 2021-2022 REGISTRATION: All completed registration forms, along with supporting documents, may be turned in to your child’s home school (confirm child's home school here). FAQ's

Q: Will there be an option for distance learning for the 2021-2022 school year?
A: At this time, there is not a set plan for distance learning in the fall. It is our hope we are able to offer a regular in-person experience district-wide. As the current situation is ever-changing, we will continue to adapt and plan for the 21-22 school year.
Q: If my child is currently in TK, do I need to re-register them for Kindergarten?
A: YES! Because TK is a district program and not offered at each school site, parents must re-register for Kindergarten and turn in registration packets to their home school.

Q: Will Extended-Day Kinder be at every school site?
A: Yes, all kindergarten classes will be extended-day classes at every elementary site.

Q: What are the start and end times for Extended-Day?
A: Approximately 8:00am - 1:40pm. Some start times vary slightly depending on site. Please contact your child's school site for specific start times. All classes end at 1:40pm.

Q: What do I do if I want to sign my child up for the Bilingual Immersion Program?
A: Please indicate interest in the Bilingual Immersion Program when completing the online registration process (step 2).

Q: What is the Bilingual Immersion Program?

Q: How will we find out if we are selected for the Bilingual Immersion Program? Is it first come, first serve?
A: The Bilingual Immersion Program will be based on a lottery selection process. Every completed application turned in by February 19, 2021 will be included in the lottery. Confirmation of selected students will be communicated after the lottery process is complete.

Q: When can I begin the registration process?
A: Online registration opens Monday, January 25, 2021 at 8:00am.

Q: When can I turn in my registration packet?
A: Packets may be turned in to your child's home school beginning Monday, January 25, 2021. There is not a designated 'packet turn-in day' this year.

Q: Do I have to turn in my complete packet by a certain date?
A: YES! All complete registration packets for the 2021-2022 school year are due on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 4pm. *NOTE: We will still be accepting on-line registrations after this date, but we need to have a deadline so we can get accurate enrollment numbers for staffing purposes.

Q: What if my registration packet is incomplete? Can I still turn it in to reserve a spot for my child?
A: No, incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Q: What if I do not want my child to attend our designated home school?
A: You may complete an intra-district transfer request. Online request forms are available on the district website. Note: You still need to turn in your packet to your child’s home school. Questions regarding INTRA-district transfers may be directed to your child's school.

PLEASE NOTE: YOUR REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL YOU COMPLETE all four (4) steps of the REGISTRATION process and turn your PACKET in TO YOUR HOME SCHOOL by february 19, 2021 at 4pm.
