Children who turn five (5) on or between September 2 and December 31, 2018 are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program. Our Transitional Kindergarten program is offered at Carlin C. Coppin, Creekside Oaks, and Twelve Bridges Elementary School. The TK program runs similar to our Kindergarten program with AM and PM options.
Parent requests for TK class location and time will be considered, with first priority given to students living within the Carlin C. Coppin, Creekside Oaks, and Twelve Bridges Elementary boundaries for their home sites. However, ALL eligible TK children will have a place for enrollment.
Please read the information and follow the directions/steps below to register your child for TK. All completed registration forms, along with supporting documents, may be turned into your child’s home school (school of residence – see school boundaries) beginning Monday, February 26, 2018 (NOT before). Forms and documents must be hand-carried to school offices by parents, not mailed in.

All the required documents for registration that you will need to produce and bring to your child’s school are provided and/or outlined below. If you need assistance completing forms, or need access to a computer/printer, please contact (or go to) your child’s school or the WPUSD District Office. We are happy to help!
Step 1: Complete each form below. This may be done by printing the documents and using blue or black ink to fill them in. Or, you may type your information directly onto the forms and print them when they are complete. You will need to submit a completed copy of each form below to your child’s school to finalize registration. Links below contain the forms.
Step 2: Click HERE for English or HERE for Spanish to input additional student/family information through our online registration system. Directions will be provided on how to do this when you click on the link. Be sure to print two (2) copies of your information after you have reviewed and submitted it. You will need to submit one (1) copy of this information to your child’s school to finalize registration. The other copy is for your records.
Step 3: Be sure to have one (1) original and one (1) copy of the documents below for proof of age, residency, and immunizations. We will need to see your original documents and you will then need to submit one copy of proof for each area to your child’s school to finalize registration. No “original” document is required for proof of immunization, just a copy of records is fine.
Step 4: Bring the following documents (completed from Steps 1 – 3 above) to your child’s home school beginning Monday, February 26, 2018 (NOT before) to finalize registration. Between June 15 and August 1, please bring your completed registration packet to the District Office (600 6th Street 4th Floor). Use below as a checklist to ensure you have all the documents required to complete registration. Your child’s registration will be complete and date/time stamped once all required documents are accepted by the school site and/or district office.
