Curriculum Standards
Western Placer Unified School District (WPUSD) follows California’s Common Core State Standards, which include the California Mathematics Framework, California’s English Language Arts/English Language Development Framework, as well as the State’s Next Generation Science Standards and History-Social Science Frameworks. These standards ensure a consistent, clear understanding of what students should know and be able to do. They are designed to connect learning to the real world, preparing students with the knowledge and skills they need for success in college and future careers.
The Educational Services Department supports educators districtwide in delivering high-quality instruction focused on student growth and achievement. Our teachers continue to develop as skilled facilitators, creating learning experiences that empower students to take ownership of their education. They are equipped to integrate technology, collaborate effectively, and tackle complex, real-world problems. We remain committed to supporting teachers in using instructional technology to enhance learning opportunities for all students.
