2023 SUMMER PROGRAMS

Elementary Summer Program

Students who attend the elementary summer program will benefit from exposure in the areas of Math and/or ELA. This is not an intensive program but is geared towards skill building, creating relationships and having fun. Students will engage in field trips to the farm and plenty of outdoor activities. Transportation from your child's school site will be available. We will also offer after school care options through our district C.A.R.E. program at no cost for those who qualify. Additionally, the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department will support students, who choose to participate, in an afternoon enrichment program at dismissal each day (this is a fee based program through the City of Lincoln). Some students (related to family income) may receive scholarships for the afternoon program. For questions regarding after school care and scholarships, please contact the program coordinator (see contact information below).

Registration Instructions
To register your child, please complete the following:

Log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal account
Go to 'Forms' under Navigation on the left hand side (on mobile devices, you may need to expand the Navigation menu on the left by clicking the arrow)
Select the 'Enrollment' tab
Click on the 'Summer School Registration' Link
Complete the form and click 'Submit'

Location: Creekside Oaks Elementary
Dates: June 20 - July 18 (July 4th off)
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00 - 12:00
Meal Options: Breakfast and lunch will be available
Who's Eligible: Next year’s Kinder (Current TK) through 5th grade students
Transportation: Yes, from your child's school site

Middle School Summer Program

Students who attend the middle school summer program will benefit from exposure in the areas of Math and/or ELA. This is not an intensive program but is geared towards skill building, creating relationships and having fun. Transportation from Twelve Bridges Middle School to Glen Edwards will be available. We will also offer after school care options through our district C.A.R.E. program at no cost for those who qualify. For questions regarding after school care and transportation, please contact the program coordinator (see contact information below).

High School Credit Recovery

CREDIT RECOVERY

Summer School 2023 will have an Independent Study format. All work will be via the online platform called Odysseyware (for English, Math, Geography, World History and Health) and through Google Classroom (for US History, Economics and Government). The teachers will be available to help students through the help button, Google Classroom and email.
