Farm to School
Farms and organizations throughout California supply WPUSD schools with local produce and meat sustainably grown.
Why Farm to School?
Research shows that farm to school works. It stimulates local and regional economies, it improves the health and nutrition of our students, and it creates widespread school and community benefits. It’s important to highlight our regional crops, and expose students to the agricultural commodities that surround us. WPUSD Food & Nutrition Services is committed to sourcing the highest quality ingredients that support our local growers and our region.

We Partner with our WPUSD Farm!
Through various grant programs, our LHS Agricultural Department has utilized the resources on our very own district farm to provide educational opportunities in sustainable production and much more. For the 2022-2023 school year, we plan to expand our partnership with a goal of serving student-cultivated produce in our WPUSD schools.
