Kindergarten

KINDERGARTEN

Children who turn five (5) on or before September 1, 2021 are eligible for Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year.  Our Kindergarten program is offered at all of our elementary schools and operates as an extended-day program - starting at approximately 8:00am and finishing at 1:40pm.

Parents may request their child participates in the Bilingual Immersion Program. This selection can be made in the Online Registration Application. Those who have turned in their complete registration packet by the due date (2/19/2021) will be placed in the selection pool and chosen based on a lottery (not first come, first serve). Any registration packet turned in after the due date will be placed on a space available wait list. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee requested placement.  For more information regarding specific requests, please contact your child’s home school upon completion of registration.

Please read the information and follow all four (4) steps below to register your child for Kindergarten.  FOR 2021-2022 REGISTRATION: All completed registration forms, along with supporting documents, may be turned in to your child's home school. School offices open August 9, 2021. The district office is not accepting registration during the summer.

If you would like more information about our Kindergarten program, please contact Scott Pickett at (916) 645-6350 or email spickett@wpusd.org.
