Annual Notification Pursuant to Education Code Section 17612
Healthy School Act of 2000
On September 25, 2000, Governor Davis approved Assembly bill 2260, which established the Healthy Schools Act of 2000. The Healthy Schools Act of 2000 requires that the Western Placer Unified School District annually provide notification to all staff and parents/guardians of the names of certain pesticide & herbicide products that may be applied at the school sites within the district during the upcoming year. Attached is the list of the pesticide and herbicide products that the District may use during the current school year.
Information concerning any identified pesticide product or any active ingredients in the identified pesticide products may be obtained from the Department of Pesticide Regulation at (916) 445-4400; https://calpip.cdpr.ca.gov/main.cfm. If you desire notification of the pesticide applications at your school site prior to their use, contact your school office to register for such notifications. Registrants shall receive notification of individual pesticide applications at least 72 hours prior to the application, whenever possible. Such notification will include the product name, active ingredients(s) and the intended date of application. The school site integrated pest management plan can be found at each school site office or on our school district website;

Notificación anual de conformidad con la sección 17612 del Código de Educación
Ley de Escuelas Saludables de 2000
El 25 de septiembre de 2000, el Gobernador Davis aprobó el proyecto de ley 2260 de la Asamblea, que estableció la Ley de Escuelas Saludables de 2000. La Ley de Escuelas Saludables de 2000 requiere que el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Western Placer notifique anualmente a todo el personal y a los padres/tutores los nombres de ciertos pesticidas y productos herbicidas que pueden aplicarse en los planteles escolares dentro del distrito durante el próximo año. Se adjunta la lista de pesticidas y productos herbicidas que el Distrito puede usar durante el año escolar actual.
La información relativa a cualquier producto plaguicida identificado o a cualquier ingrediente activo en los productos plaguicidas identificados puede obtenerse del Departamento de Regulación de Pesticidas al (916) 445-4400;

Si desea que se le notifique de las aplicaciones de pesticidas en su escuela antes de su uso, comuníquese con la oficina de su escuela para registrarse para recibir dichas notificaciones. Los solicitantes de registro recibirán una notificación de las solicitudes individuales de plaguicidas al menos 72 horas antes de la solicitud, siempre que sea posible. Dicha notificación incluirá el nombre del producto, los ingredientes activos y la fecha prevista de aplicación.
