Dangers of Synthetic Drug Use
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our commitment to the well-being and safety of our students, we want to inform you about an important issue that affects communities nationwide, including our own.
There has been an alarming rise in the use of synthetic drugs, such as fentanyl, that are not prescribed by a physician. Particularly concerning is the presence of dangerous synthetic drugs in counterfeit pills. These pills are often made to look like common prescription medications or recreational drugs, but they can contain lethal doses of substances like fentanyl. Unfortunately, many individuals who purchase these pills do not realize the danger they pose.
As the local school district, we want to ensure that parents and guardians are well-informed about these risks. More information can be found here on our district website.
We urge you to have open and honest conversations with your children about the dangers of experimenting with any substances that are not prescribed by a physician or obtained from a legitimate source.
