Individuals who wish to provide a verbal public comment must do so in person while attending the meeting (verbal comments will be limited to those present at the Board meeting).   Twenty minutes will be allocated for each subject: speakers will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the Board.    Your written comments will be provided to the Board  of Trustees, and made part of the meeting record.  Your request must contain your name, address and your phone number.  No action will be taken on any item not appearing on the agenda.   "Request to Address Board of Trustees" forms will be located at the entrance of the meeting and need to be filled out and given to the Board Clerk prior to the start of the meeting.

Letters & Resolutions Re: COVID Mandates

Resolution 21/22.18

At the February 22, 2022 Special Board meeting the Board of Trustees approved with amendments, Resolution 21/22.18 to support that unmasked students will not be excluded from in-person learning, removed from the classroom, nor separated or segregated within a classroom and WPUSD will continue to make available high quality mask to teachers, staff and students on a daily basis and will promote the availability and efficacy of one-way masking. 

Letter to Dr. Richard Pan, State Senator and Scott Wiener, State Senator

At the February 15, 2022 Board meeting the Board of Trustees approved with amendments, letter to Dr. Richard Pan, State Senator, District 6 and Scott Wiener, State Senator, District 11 regarding Senate Bill 866 and Senate Bill 871.  The letter was requested by members of the public, Kayse Frontiera and Hillary Chavis who sent emails to the Board of Trustees to approve the letter opposing both SB 871 and SB 866.

Resolution 21/22.15

At the January 18, 2022 Board meeting the Board of Trustees approved with amendments, Resolution 21/22.15 to support local decision-making authority regarding COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols and requesting reconsideration of the Governor's proposed vaccination mandate.

Letter to Governor Newsom

At the October 19, 2021 Board meeting the Board of Trustees approved with amendments, Resolution #21/22.11 and cover letter to Governor Newsom in support of local decision-making authority and to request modifications to the Governor's vaccination mandate. 

Letter to CDPH

At the August 3, 2021 Board meeting the Board of Trustees approved an letter to California Department of Public Health (CDPH) re: Universal Masking Mandate.
