I am grateful and honored for the opportunity to be a part of the Western Placer Unified School Board of Trustees and represent area one. I am a mother of two children, Austin and Aubree that are 3rd generation graduates of WPUSD. The last 33 years I have been in Lending/Finance providing Small Business Loans to small businesses throughout the country, My husband Bill, and I have been married for 27 years and have chosen to raise our children in the rural area of Lincoln. In my spare time, I love to volunteer in our community, camping, and fishing with my family.
I am passionate about students’ safety, well-being, and I will prioritize programs that address mental health, bullying, and provide opportunities for extracurricular activities. I believe that a well-rounded education that addresses students’ social and emotional needs is essential for their overall success. I believe that WPUSD is well on our way to becoming a leader in how our students are educated and in preparing them for the next phase in their lives. We have excellent teachers, administrators, and staff, and I am excited about the future of our schools.
My life goal has been to make a positive impact in people’s lives.
Educate and Celebrate and be the one to change a child’s life.

I’m honored to be a Board Member. Truly honored. But I’m most honored to be a husband, father and grandfather of three wonderful grandchildren in Lincoln schools.
There is nothing more important than our children. We know the world comes at them fast. So we must help them be ready for it. Together, let’s work for stronger academics and vocational training.
Innovation is a key part of that. We need to vigorously promote school electives, clubs and competitions, in coding, robotics, debate, science, technology, entrepreneurship, art, dance, chemistry, engineering, math and agricultural technology.
I trained as a teacher at The Ohio State University followed by USC Graduate School. I earned Phi Eta Sigma, Academic Honors and proudly played Big Ten, Collegiate Rugby. Then, served as a State Senate, Chief Legislative Aide.
For 23 years I worked as a Medical Clinic Director and now, for two decades. I’ve been teaching in, and directing an award winning, Adult Literacy Program.
We know there’s no place better than Lincoln – parks, schools and families. Let’s hold tight to our core values. We are truly blessed.

My family and I retired to Lincoln in 2010 after 20 years of service in the United States Airforce. All 3 of our children have attended WPUSD schools and our youngest is currently a sophomore.
I am a part time instructor and nutritional counselor at a local Lincoln fitness facility and my husband continues to serve our country part time with Homeland Security. We are now proud grandparents as well and try and serve our community as often as we can.
Being a mother has been my greatest joy, hardest job and most rewarding role I have ever partaken in. I strongly feel that our children are our greatest responsibility we as parents have and I am determined to ensure all of our children have every opportunity and advantage for success.
I look forward to serving all of the children, teachers and staff of WPUSD. I am grateful beyond words for this opportunity the residents of Lincoln, Sheridan and surrounding areas have given me to be a voice and a vote for all in the Western Placer Unified School District.

Jason started a career in the Fire Service before graduating High School, and in 1996 he was the youngest licensed Paramedic in the state. Throughout his 20 years of service as a First Responder he specialized in emergency medicine, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, and served as a company officer.
His passion for improving the outcomes of patients suffering from cardiac arrest led him to establish Pacific Coast Safety & Training, a resuscitation training center focused on improving the survivability rates of sudden cardiac arrest. Jason and his cadre of “edu-tainers” changed the way the region trained and responded to resuscitation cases.
Jason raised his 4 children in Lincoln, all of them graduates of WPUSD. He currently serves on the Steering Committee for Leadership Lincoln, and the city’s Economic Development Committee.

I joined the Western Placer Unified School Board of Trustees in September 2021 to represent Area 2. My family and I moved to Sheridan in 2019 and we own JANGLES Family Farm where we grow mandarins and Christmas Trees. I believe that Sheridan is Placer County's best kept secret.
I currently work for Caltrans as a Principal Transportation Engineer where I manage research and innovation teams. I have worked for Caltrans since 1992.
n my spare time, I love to bake, especially with my two daughters, or watch my two sons fish in our pond or ride motorcycles on our property. Family is the most important part of my life and I love every minute of being a mom and wife (even the hard times).
I am honored to be able to serve this amazing community as a member of the WPUSD Board of Trustees.
