Student Board Members
The Student Board Member functions as a preferential non-binding voting representative to the Superintendent and the WPUSD Board of Trustees. The Student Board Member provides the WPUSD Governing Body with information regarding student interests, concerns and ideas thereby enhancing relevance and effectiveness of many school site and District programs. The goal is to ensure that student perspectives are considered in the governance of the school district and to foster a collaborative environment that values student engagement.

Lincoln High School Representative: Kamilla Muritala
I am currently a junior at Lincoln High School, and I have been actively involved within school leadership throughout my time in high school.
I regularly participate in various types of volunteering opportunities outside of school as well as school activities. I am committed to multiple different clubs, holding distinct leadership positions within each of them, including serving as president of the French Club and the Black Student Union (BSU). I am frequently tasked with working alongside my fellow officers to plan activities and celebrations. Additionally, I am currently on the NHS executive board serving as the historian.
Throughout high school, I have continued to challenge myself academically by enrolling myself in several AP classes. In doing so, I've learned valuable information and insight into my future academic endeavors. I am able to dive into topics that I have never considered before. Outside of academics, I am currently on Lincoln High School’s Varsity Tennis Team, with this being my third year playing tennis.
During my spare time, I enjoy staying active by walking and going to the gym, going out with my friends, and watching movies in theaters. I enjoy making crafts as well, with sewing and embroidery being amongst my favorites.
I moved to Lincoln from Reno the summer of 2021. I really enjoy learning about the history of Lincoln as well as the new development that Lincoln has been experiencing. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Western Placer School Board, and I appreciate my constituents as well as the collaboration amongst my colleagues.

Twelve Bridges High School Representative: Charlie Cho
I’m a Junior at Twelve Bridges High School whose passion for leadership led me to the role of ASB Representative.
As the Vice President of my school’s National Honors Society, participant in Christian Club, member of my church’s leadership group, and as a student of AVID, community service is extremely important to me. I love to enroll myself in important tasks to help others, whether it’s leading an event or spending my summer and spring breaks serving kids.
I am also a student athlete who plays a leading role on the Twelve Bridge’s Varsity Girls’ Golf team, and have earned the MVP award for the 2023-2024 golf season. Although I enjoy my sport and constantly focus on improvement, I prioritize academics as a hard-working student.
In my spare time, I’m discovering a new T.V. show, listening to music, golfing with my family, going to church, and hanging out with my amazing group of friends.
I was born and raised in this district and I understand our great history in the past and our potential for the future. With my love for leadership, I decided to demonstrate my school pride by becoming ASB Representative. I’m excited to collaborate with the rest of WPUSD to make a difference in and outside the classroom. My main goal for our district is community involvement, where everyone can come together to create growth, development, and positive memories. I’m honored to take on this position and uphold the moral standards that come along with it.
