About

The Western Placer Education Foundation is a community based 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of building a better community through the support of WPUSD. Since its formation, the Western Placer Education Foundation has donated thousands of dollars in support of WPUSD students, teachers and programs. Key priorities have included the support of the OLE (Outdoor Learning Education) Property and the ongoing funding to support the District's outdoor learning initiatives. In addition, the Western Placer Education Foundation is committed to supporting annual scholarship funds for students.

2024 Teacher Grant Awards

The Western Placer Education Foundation (WPEF) awarded a record-breaking $26,346 in grants this year to support our teachers and students. From innovative programs to engaging field trips, these funds make a huge impact.

WPUSD schools welcome donations from our community! Your contributions can greatly bolster music and science programs, as well as support various after-school enrichment activities, tailored to the specific needs of each school site. Leave a legacy dedicated to the district, a specific program, or a school site. Gifts to the endowment are a long-term investment in WPUSD schools and programs. Endowment funds are permanent funds that provide the district with earned investment income. If you're interested in discussing endowments, please contact the WPUSD Business Office at 916-645-6350. 

Volunteering in WPUSD schools can improve the educational experience by sharing individuals' knowledge and skills with students while assisting in supervision to enhance productivity. WPUSD encourages parents/guardians and community members to get involved with our school communities. 

Become a Volunteer WPUSD Schools

Strong school and family partnerships are integral to the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. We welcome our parents, guardians, and families to be involved with their child's schools as volunteers, advocates, and partners in education. Joining a school Parent Teacher Club or Booster Club and attending meetings regularly is a great way to stay engaged with your child's school community.
